Scary Movie Night at the Tennis Club is serving up a killer double feature, hand-picked by Marc himself:
The Thing (1982): Set at an isolated Antarctic research station, John Carpenter’s classic pits a group of scientists against a danger that hunts them. As paranoia rises, no one knows who – or what – to trust.
REC (2007): A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying. Note: this is a Spanish-language movie with English subtitles. Trust us when we say: it’s WORTH it! Give it a few minutes then you won’t even notice you’re reading.
The marathon runs just over 3 hours, with free popcorn to keep you fueled. The bar will be open, serving drinks and a selection of movie snacks available for purchase. You can also order delivery from Mr. D’s or Uber Eats (but make sure you don’t miss a plot twist while collecting the food!).
Both films are rated R, so this night is best suited for teens and adults who enjoy serious scares. Younger children may want to sit this one out.
